A visit from Bishop David

Bishop David visits St Mary's school for the first time.

Bishop David was very impressed with the school and the children. Mrs Iley our chair of Governors had this to say on the visit:

Please extend my thanks and applause to the whole team for the success of the Bishop's visit today. The school looked wonderful, the children were so well behaved and were a delight to speak to, it was genuinely a joy walking around the school.

The particular highlight was of course the visit from the donkey's which really helped to pull together all the wonderful research the pupils have done on the school. Bishop David seemed so interested in the archives and the work which had gone in to preparing it for his visit, he was also very impressed with all the artwork and the care and love each classroom and common space had exuding from it.

A very special thanks to Ava Grace, as head girl she represented the school confidentially and maturely.

And of cause thank you to Mrs Concannon for supporting the team to aim high and achieve great things.
