What skills and experience we are looking for
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a KS1 Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate will have up to Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualifications; however, we also welcome applications from those who may not have formal experience but possess a genuine passion for working with young children. Skills in communication, patience, and the ability to engage with and inspire our pupils are essential.
As a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1, you will support our teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons. You will contribute to creating a positive learning environment that encourages children to explore, inquire, and develop their skills. A background or interest in early childhood education will be advantageous, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. An understanding of the importance of inclusivity and support for children with various needs will also be highly valued.
