Girls Football

The girls in Key stage two had a lovely morning celebrating International Women's day and taking part in a football session.

Bringing the whole school community together to celebrate International Women’s
Day sets the tone for the kind of community you want to create for the young
people of our school. All the girls in Key stage two were offered the opportunity to
take part in a morning of football led by Phil Lines and an Easignton ladies football
player Hannah. England Women's captain Leah Williamson said: "The success of the
summer has inspired so many young girls to pursue their passion for football. We see
it as our responsibility to open the doors for them to do so and this announcement
makes that possible. This is the legacy that we want to live much longer than us as a
team." The girls had a fantastic session and many enquired about how to sign up to
football outside of school. We are playing on running another session like this in the
summer.
