Enhancing The Curriculum
At St Mary’s Catholic Primary School we bring learning to life through a host of visits and visitors.
In the past year Key Stage 2 children enjoyed a performance of “The Marriage of Figaro” at The Royal Opera House as well as the whole school visiting The Warwick Arts centre to see The Gruffalo and experience the interactive Christmas performance of “The lost gift” . We have welcomed numerous visitors and historians into school, to name but a few.
Themed days are also a wonderful way to enhance learning and recently Year 3 and 4 pupils have relished opportunities to experience history through an Egyptian Day in connection with the Warwick Outreach Team. Our Foundation and Key Stage 1 children transformed themselves into pirates for a special themed day of discovery and pirate adventure.
